Pod Group has recently announced their partnership with machine connectivity pioneers Ingenu Inc. whereby PodM2M will be the first distribution partner of Ingenu’s RPMA (Random Phase Multiple Access) technology, designed specifically and exclusively for wireless machine-to-machine communication.

Ingenu’s RPMA technology provides unprecedented coverage, capacity and scalability, exceptional battery life, full-featured value, and decades of network longevity. With its use of one global wireless band and design exclusively for machine-specific communication, Ingenu ensures that devices on its RPMA network can remain untouched in the field for decades, opening up new opportunities in rapidly expanding verticals such as smart cities and smart grids, as well as providing a reliable, scalable, and above all, long-term alternative to cellular connectivity for customers across all sectors.

This agreement allows PodM2M to further expand its solution portfolio into the Low-Power, Wide-Area (LPWA) space. In light of the decision by many US providers to suspend 2G services, forcing many customers to switch to alternative connectivity systems, the addition of Ingenu’s RPMA technology to Pod’s range of multi-network and multi-IMSI cellular services is especially important, and will give customers the ability to build flexible and future-proofed applications.
