Distributed IP Core Network
Pod Group operates its own IP core network through four points of presence (PoPs).
All four locations were selected based on the availability and ease of cross-connects to 3rd party network connectivity providers.
At each location, the Pod network comprises edge routing and circuit aggregation from upstream connectivity providers. Each site has Gigabit Ethernet connectivity with each provider and cross-connects with the other Pod datacentres.
The Pod distributed IP core network encompasses a flexible service design. The switch aggregation at each location allows Pod to interconnect with multiple upstream providers for onward interconnection with mobile operators and customers.
All of Pod’s connectivity services utilize private IP address space for network address allocations. At each point of presence, this traffic is routed onwards according to IP Policy and routing rules.
You benefit from:
- Private IP address space for network address allocations
- Traffic routed and treated differently according to the IP
- Interconnection with multiple upstream providers for onward interconnection with mobile operators and customers
- Direct connectivity at each peering location, or through use of Pod’s integration with our connectivity partners
