Java-Card / Smartcard developer

Pod Group is looking for smartcard developers to join the company immediately and full time. This position requires specific telco knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the analysis and development of SIM card applications for Podsystem Group Ltd.
  • Remote management of the apps and file system of the SIM with the «over-the-air» platform.

Required skills

  • Experience in applet development for JavaCard OS (JavaCard STK applet development).
  • Good knowledge of smart card standards (GSM 11.14, GSM 11.11, 3GPP TS 23.122, 3GPP TS 31.102, JavaCard OS, Global Platform).
  • Additionally, experience in programming microcontrollers, firmware, or drivers will be valued.
  • Additionally, knowledge in mobile application programming for Android will be valued.
  • Oral and written communication skills fluently in English or Spanish or both.

What do we do? We have applications and platforms to service more than 500 clients through a web interface and API. Currently, our database weighs 500GB, supports a concurrency of 1000 requests per minute (200ms of response) and consists of a cluster. We use Node.js + MongoDB technologies in the backend and Angular in the frontend. Our entire infrastructure is hosted by cloud providers (VPS and bare-metal), AWS and Azure with Linux servers (Ubuntu Server / Debian).

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

-Studies: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree is preferable

-Proven professional experience in the development of Web applications using Javascript, Node.js and MongoDB

-Experience in Javascript (ES7)

-Using frameworks like Express or Restify for Node.js

-Development of web applications using MongoDB as a database.

-Experience in developing APIs REST

-Knowledge of Mocha, Chai and Jasmine

-Knowledge of Git

-Knowledge of Angular

-Development of web applications using Redis as database is a plus

-Knowledge of F# will be appreciated

Job Description

Opportunity to join Pod Group’s Network Operations team as a IP network / mobile packet core engineer to deploy and support mobile network services. You will be responsible for the day to day running of Pod’s network, and to support the company with new customer projects, network deployments and network troubleshooting.

Experience:

-Formal telecoms/electronic or IP Network qualifications or equivalent experience gained through previous roles.

-Solid understanding with practical hands on experience of IP networks, VLANs and routing fundamentals.

-A high level of English is mandatory.

 

Desirable:

-Understanding of mobile roaming architecture including the role of serving networks, signalling interconnect and GRX / IPX providers

-Knowledge of 2G / 3G networking, and 4G LTE technologies

-Experience of working with a range of telecoms technologies

-Understanding / experience of GRX and IPX networks

-Technical knowledge of maintaining on-premises equipment and cloud services in areas such as virtual machines, storage, network and security.

-Experience in deploying and maintaining production infrastructure to achieve high levels of uptime and reliability.

Job Summary

We are looking for a high-performing Global IoT Sales Director. The successful candidate will manage and lead all aspects of our global sales team and will be responsible for developing key growth sales strategies, tactics and action plans on a global level.

 

Responsibilities:

– Establish a global sales organisation within the Pod Group and drive its success.

– Manage a sales team of direct reports remotely in different time zones (Europe, the Americas and Asia). Create systems, processes and workflows whilst constantly monitoring and maximising the value of the companies pipeline of both short-term and long-term opportunities.

– Lead negotiations with our network and technology partners.

– Develop and execute effective strategies to win and maintain customer accounts as well as identifying their needs for new products/services.

– Collaborate with marketing, operations, finance and the development team in order to provide a focal point to drive forward our global Sales Operations and growth.

– Ensure that the company’s overall growth objectives are met and are in line with Pod Group’s global expansion.

As DevOps Engineer your mission will be:

-Designing, building, testing, delivering and supporting service mesh.

-Working with the development team on design & implementation of new rollouts.

-Working on design & implementation of large scale systems.

-Defining and improving our SLA, SLO, SLI to determine what is going to break and when.

-Using best practices in system design and automation standards.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

– Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, building CI/CD, Ansible, GitOps, MongoDB, PostgresSQL.

– Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Prometheus, ELK or Zabbix

– Good knowledge of AWS, mainly in  the services EKS, EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, Cloudwatch.

– Knowledge of Linux systems.

– Development/scripting skills (Golang, python or bash).

– Desire to improve the infrastructure and yourself.

– A Good root cause analysis.

– Knowledge of Packer, Spinnaker, Kafka, and data services in AWS is a plus.
